This remarkable insect habitat is designed for close up yet safe viewing of the insects that surround us every day. The Bug Explorer™ features a unique 3 perspective viewing system that allows for the examination of your six legged guests without the need for direct contact. The 2 viewing “dewdrop” enclosures provide different viewing perspectives of your resident bugs.
• Top down, overhead viewing gives you a bird’s eye view of your subject.
• Bottoms up, provides a worms eye view of the underside or your subject.
• Face to face, provides for direct viewing of your subject.
How it works.
The “Underscope” provides a magnified view of the underside of bugs that are placed in the over/under viewing dewdrop. The “Overscope” lens is built into the dome of the over/under viewing dewdrop. It provides an enhanced view of the topside of your bug. The “Eye-to-eye Scope” allows viewing of bugs in the ground level dewdrop enclosure. With its integrated revolving floor and revolving floor control knob, you are in total control. Without ever touching your study subject, you can easily orient the bug for an eye to eye encounter.
The enclosed leaf slide allows your bugs to move safely between the over/under and eye-to-eye dewdrop enclosures. The “Leaf Lever” gives you control over the passage of your subject from one observation dewdrop to the other.
